Dr. Maria Montessori became a world famous educator-scientist through years of research, observations, and discoveries in regard to childhood development.
She realized the profound effect that early learning experiences have on the child’s ability in reaching their natural potential. She discovered that the child needs an extensive and intensive scope of “purposeful” work and play. Dr. Montessori translated her theories into concrete training techniques to provide opportunities for the development of “the new teacher,” as observer, guide, and creator of the carefully prepared learning environment.
